SoundSafe was founded by musicians, dancers and artists who had lost their studios and rehearsal spaces in the Dot Com gold rush of 1998-2000. Our aim is to find unused or underutilized spaces and put them to use for low-cost arts. Ultimately, we plan to build a center for live music, dance, music rehearsal and art in San Francisco.

826 Valencia helps students, ages 8 to 18, to develop their writing skills in the areas of fiction, nonfiction and English as a second language. We offer free drop-in tutoring, workshops and school field trips. Additionally, we provide space and guidance for students who wish to create their own story collections, zines and other publications.

Destiny Arts Center

Destiny Arts Center provides violence prevention programs through utilizing arts education for youth ages 3-18. Programs include dance, martial arts, theater, performance and youth leadership training. Youth become mentors and teachers in the community as they perform at events and offer workshops in violence prevention.

The Nascent Project
