    The Expo is an all-day extravaganza featuring more than 100 Bay Area arts organizations, free workshops, performances, and hundreds of local artists and musicians. Attendees can browse tables staffed by local galleries, nonprofits, collectives and small businesses; present their portfolios; and join in workshops on grant proposals, censorship, arts marketing, underground art history, making a demo tape and more.

    JOIN US at the first-ever Expo Exhibitor Salon, a pre-event gathering that offers a chance to meet and connect with the exhibiting organizations at the Expo, in a more low-key and conversational environment. Featuring:
  • DIALOGUE: Non-profit? For-profit? What best serves the arts in our communities? How can artists, and arts organizations, navigate between total freedom and maximum funding?
  • ART EXHIBIT: "Hidden Histories" ... a show that encourages the community to explore the various ways that space and place reveal themselves in San Francisco. The installation offers info on bicycle and self-guided tours and events in the city, to provide the public with a point of departure and the inspiration embark on an exploration of San Francisco's unique urban landscape.

    Urban Night Photography Workshop!

    Teaching photography after dark, with either digital cameras or film, in an urban enivronment using a mix of moonlight, existing artificial light sources, and supplemental lighting.
