The Expo is the Bay Area's only grassroots connection fair for independent arts, music and culture.

We support independents! Any project run by volunteers gets the $25 community rate. Commercial projects with only one paid employee pay the discounted "Solo Producer" rate.

This is an open invitation to arts and music organizations, businesses, schools, solo producers, artisans, unsigned bands, local labels and publishers to reserve a table at the Expo and meet each other and the community. As always, tables for small nonprofits and community groups cost just $25.

Over the past eight years, the Expo for the Artist & Musician has come to serve an extremely wide variety of community-based art and expression. THE EXPO FOR INDEPENDENT ARTS represents this greater diversity, and all the cultural opportunity that makes this such a unique event.

Art as Therapy

"Art as Intervention"

The panel will investigate ideas about guerrilla art, and in particular art as intervention -- creative works that disrupt the mundane expectations of daily life for critical or educational purposes. How to make a soft-cover book

Polaroid Transfer

Monotype Printmaking Workshop

Glass Blowing

Political Street Theater for Everybody

Are you interested in performance art, but have little or no formal training or experience? Do you have an interest in making 'political art' but find yourself at-odds with the 'apolitical' artworld system? Come to this class and learn about street theater! Make a Tote-Bag...out of a Tee-Shirt

Come to this class and make a reusable, recycled bag! All You need to do is bring a tee shirt that's a little on the big side. If you can't find one of your own that suits your fancy, we'll have a few here to pick from. This class is free if you bring your own shirt, but there will be a (low) charge if you need one from us. Donations are accepted!

Craft Night!
