What are the Bay Area Arts Worker Relief Funds?
The Bay Area Arts Worker Relief Funds are resources for arts workers who are facing a loss of income due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. This application is specifically for people working within the visual, literary, media, film and video arts.

Who is Eligible?
Any individual resident of the San Francisco Bay Area who has worked professionally or vocationally in the arts community for at least one year, who has been an active participant in the arts ecosystem (those whose life’s work is the arts, regardless of the income derived from work in the arts), and has experienced a loss of income due to COVID-19 because of:
- Cancelled arts-related events
- Loss of arts-related work
- Loss of supplemental income/job
“Arts workers” includes all aspects of the visual, literary, media, interdisciplinary, film and video arts, including but not limited to visual artists; film, video, and media producers; writers; teaching artists; administrators; designers; curators; art handlers, preparators, and figure drawing / still-life models, among others. This application and relief fund is intended for individuals, not organizations.
Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis, and are subject to approval and the availability of funds. If approved, the amount received may fluctuate according to how much is available within the Fund.
Priority will be given to arts workers within the following communities: BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, Person of Color); Disability community, including immunocompromised; and/or LGBTQIA+.
