Chile! Hood Stories: A Fairy’s Tale

Through a queer retelling of familiar childhood stories, Chile! Hood Stories: A Fairy’s Tale is a multidisciplinary theatre production that empowers audiences with stories of resistance framed as “simple fairy tales.”

Created and produced by SevanKelee Boult (bka Lucky 7), SevanKelee is a well known Bay Area poet. In San Francisco, she has graced such places as the De Young Museum, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, and the Marsh Theater. Chile! Hood Stories retells classic children’s stories with explicitly genderqueer and gender non-conforming characters. Characters and storylines reflect a broad range of sexualities, all while gaily romping through the queer, sex positive universe of Boult’s creation.
