Independent Arts & Media is in the midst of developing the Dandelion Arts Finance Training Program, a skill-building program designed by, with, and for arts, media, and cultural workers. In partnership with a group of local artists and arts finance/admin workers – Rhiannon Evans MacFadyen of Emerging Arts Professionals, arts finance consultant Jericha Senyak, and San Francisco artist Jason Wyman – we are co-creating a peer-based financial training network and toolkit in service to our community.
As community-based artists and administrators, we see every day how fraught our peers feel when trying to figure out the intersection of their values, their finances, and their art-making. We want the Dandelion Program to genuinely address this struggle and fully meet the needs of our community.
As an Arts, Media and Culture Worker, we want to hear from you!
- Do you (or other artists in your life) ever feel anxious about doing financial work like budgeting, bookkeeping, or taxes?
- Have you ever felt like there’s a lack of resources for learning financial skills aligned to your values?
- Ever wondered who to trust when you have financial questions?
Please submit your responses by Wednesday, June 23, 2021.
As a small incentive, you will be entered into a drawing where one out of every 20 survey participants will receive a $70 gift card to a local Bay Area merchant of your choice.
Your radical honesty is the cornerstone of Dandelion’s development. Your participation in this survey means everything to us.
The Dandelion Arts Finance Training Program is supported in part by the Zellerbach Family Foundation.
