MenoPower: A Menopause Festival is a storytelling and wellness project celebrating the overlooked experiences of perimenopausal, menopausal, and postmenopausal people — especially women of color, transgender men, and aging communities of San Francisco. Through laughter, writing, storytelling, connection, MenoPower transforms menopause from a private struggle into shared cultural moment. Because there is a self to be celebrated after those tedious reproductive years! Launching at San Francisco Public Library Branches in 2026.

Girls Empowerment through the Arts (GETA) National uses artistic practices to provide girls of color, ages 8 through 17, with an opportunity to develop and deepen their ability to express themselves, feel the power of their voice, and build confidence, self esteem, and positive ideas/feelings about themselves in order to combat the negative societal messages that they begin to receive from an early age.

The overarching goal of the GETA program is to combat the negative societal messages that black and brown girls begin to receive from a very early age by creating a space where girls of color are celebrated, encouraged, and supported to feel confident and strong as they develop their voice and share their ideas, emotions, and stories through artistic expression.

GETA builds on the idea that creativity and artistic expression are abilities that all young people possess and the goal of the GETA program is to nurture these abilities and allow young girls of color to explore their voice as part of their developmental process. GETA provides girls of color with a safe space and artistic practices that support their personal growth and enrich their educational, professional, artistic, and leadership skills. GETA takes a group of girls through a collective process of empowerment, which comes from each individual having their voice heard, their experiences validated, their wisdom and knowledge appreciated, and their narrative elevated.

The GETA program provides schools and youth programs with a structured program setting, artistic practices, and experienced artist/educators that support girls of color to think for themselves, build self confidence, work together in teams, foster creativity and innovation, and have a safe and courageous space where they can express their emotions, explore their ideas and feelings, develop a greater sense of themselves and a better understanding of how beautiful and amazing they are and how much they have to contribute to the world.

Golden Boy Productions is a cabaret show formed by LGBT, queer, latinx artists. We produce shows that feature circus performers, dancers, musicians, and more! Through performance, GBD will guide the audience on a playful and heartfelt journey through San Francisco’s streets, stories, and communities. These “scenes” will reflect aspects of the city—joy, resistance, nightlife, love, and resilience—told through short movement pieces, character work, and hosting.

Described as having a “Fosse precision with a Jim Henson sensibility” (SF Weekly), Fou Fou Ha! has developed from a local award-winning performance ensemble into an internationally known brand, having recently been slated as “one of New York’s top things to see” (TIMEOUT New York).

Each squad offers anywhere from weekly or monthly shows, touring stand-alone shows and an array of neo-Vaudeville and circus entertainers for hire with a unique and contagious clown flare like no other! Fou performance experiences offer a mash-up of upbeat dance numbers to infectious music, hilarious acts that involve sexuality and audience involvement and a colorful and whimsical “Psychedelic Vaudeville” logic and aesthetic. Often, the audience gets to be participants in the show which allows for each one of YOU to join in on the madness. Our desire is to offer a joyous experience that gives permission to be silly, to dance, laugh and celebrate your humanity within our unique cartoon reality! (We’re sorry and you’re welcome)

The Gregangelo Museum is a living work of art where imagination has no limits. It is a wildly entertaining immersive art and performance space nestled in San Francisco’s less explored Pacific Westside. A designated San Francisco Historic Landmark (No. 318) and recognized Legacy Business, the museum offers seven distinct experiences along with a multitude of customized shows designed to spark wonder, introspection, connective engagement. Blending visual art, storytelling, and theater, it has been described as “a true mirror of the soul of San Francisco,” “a visual cacophony,” and “a sanctuary for imagination.”

Through its Gregangelo Museum To Go program, the museum also brings immersive performances, artists, and installations offsite into public spaces, civic events, private gatherings, schools, and even bridges local culture in corporate settings. These traveling experiences invite people of all ages and backgrounds to connect through art in ways that are unexpected, meaningful, and entertaining.

A large part of our mission is to keep artists in San Francisco who inspire wonder, foster connection, and awaken creativity through immersive experiences rooted in art, story, and play while remaining an ever evolving sanctuary for imagination, on site and on the go.

This project is the first ever full-length Waacking DanceTheater show in the Bay Area, presented as part of the Bridge Live Arts Community Engagement Residency. Waacking is a 1970s street dance style that was created by the queer community. Originally known as “punking,” a subversion of a derogatory term for gay men, this dance allowed queer folks to freely express themselves within the shelter of underground clubs at a time when it was not safe to do so in public. Characterized by rapid arm rolls, striking motions, and dramatic poses, the powerful and unrestrained aesthetic of waacking is directly linked to the liberatory origins of this dance.

Slated for Fall 2025, this work will bring this art form into a concert dance setting and examine how waacking can serve as a conduit to individuals loving and liberating the parts of themselves that others want to erase. As a mix of choreographed pieces, curated onstage exchanges, and improvised solos, this project will explore how rigidity and conformity borne out of oppression can blossom into individual, and eventually communal, release. This work will feature a range of musical genres, from disco (the genre most typically associated with waacking) to house to soul, and exclusively feature waackers from the Bay Area street dance scene.

Named for a concept meaning “motive” or “consequence”, Prayukti was created to nurture a community for the arts across the Bay Area through Indian classical dance classes and performances, and movement-based community events. Through our varied programs, we provide artists, audience and students a common platform to meet, connect, grow, collaborate, and discover. We are driven by the belief that art is for everyone. Our goal is to help our community members discover their unique connection to the arts - and, in doing so, to themselves.
