Led by Blkmpwr, Black Teachers’s Voices is a multimedia and film project seeking to amplify the first-hand experiences, interactions, and expertise of California’s Black educators in higher education. A long-overlooked and marginalized group, California’s Black educators create lasting impact and effect, all while fighting “Racial Battle Fatigue” and paying “The Black Tax”.
Blkmpwr was created in 2015 due to the desire to empower the Culture. By providing balanced, nuanced, and positive images we empower, inspire, and educate the community. Blkmpwr is a family-owned and operated business. We realized that we are powerful when we put our minds and efforts together. We also use a family business model to create financial literacy and to pass down generational wealth.
