Paloma Press

Founded in 2016, PALOMA PRESS is a San Francisco Bay Area-based, Filipino American women-led, independent literary press. We are founded in the belief that the literary arts can create empathy, bridge divides, and change one’s world. At our core is kapwa, a force that strengthens communities, and nourishes connections and shared identities. Our mission is to publish poems and prose that have the power to inspire and reshape our creative futures.

As of October 2022, Paloma Press is fiscally sponsored by Independent Arts & Media (IAM)! This will allow us to build capacity, and launch new programs such as The Mana Creative Futures Project (Mana in Filipino means legacy; among Polynesians, Melanesians, Maori, and CCGers, it means elemental force), to support, celebrate, mentor, and partner with culture makers in the region, and expand our understanding of what it means to reimagine all of our possibilities.
